Hot-rolled steel plate, also known as hot-rolled plate and steel strip, commonly known as hot plate, refers to a steel plate with a width greater than or equal to 600mm and a thickness of 0.35-200mm and a steel strip with a thickness of 1.2-25mm. According to the thickness, hot-rolled steel plates can be divided into two types: medium-thick plates (thickness greater than 4mm) and thin plates (thickness 0.35-4mm), and cold-rolled steel plates are only thin plates (thickness 0.2-4mm). The thin steel sheet can be galvanized on the surface (commonly known as tinplate), coated with an organic coating (or colored steel plate), etc. Thin steel sheets are cold-pressed or cold-rolled into shapes such as corrugated, hyperbolic, and V-shaped, called profiled steel plates, and are mainly used for enclosure structures, floors, and roofs.
